Fast, simple and on-time delivery of all of our services - which is why our customers value our partnership and employ us. Our services include domestic and international FTL(full truckload) and LTL(less than truckload) transport throughout Europe. The majority of our customers are based in Italy, Austria, Germany and Benelux.

We also gladly accept individual pallets or smaller shipments at our locations they are then bundled into larger units. As a result, efficient utilization of our vehicles enables us to provide cost-effective transport for you.

We have the right vehicle for almost every transport, as well as the trained staff. Whether fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, frozen foods, drinks, building materials or machinery of any kind. Also, the towing or transport of trucks is no problem for us, thanks to our special low-loader.

Our truck fleet

Modern and well-maintained truck fleet

We are constantly modernizing our fleet, which, thanks to our in-house workshop, keeps pace with the latest technology. This is an important prerequisite for ensuring that your consignments always arrive on time and without incident.

We have:

12 of our own tractor units

9 refrigerated semi-trailers, optionally with double-decker loading system, flower width (2.5 m internal width), 2.7 m internal height or lightweight design, in order to transport temperature-controlled full loads over 24 tons in compliance with the applicable rules and standards.

9 lightweight curtain-sider semi-trailers with over 26 tons payload and DIN EN 12642 Code XL load containment certification / certification for beverages.

1 open flatbed

1 low loader semi-trailer for transporting heavy vehicles. No matter why your truck has stopped running, we will collect it from across Europe and take it to the location of your choice or selected workshop. With our experience and the right vehicle, we take care of secure loading and unloading and guarantee seamless execution. We have all the necessary licenses and permits.

If necessary, we rely on qualified and reliable subcontractors to increase our transport capacity and to guarantee you the best possible service.

Our Company

For you in motion since 1971

Thurner GmbH has many years of experience in domestic and international transport. Through continuous improvement and lots of enthusiasm for the job, we have, from the very start, guaranteed that we will find the best way to satisfy our customers’ needs.

The company was founded in Vilpian in 1971 by Hermann Thurner. In those days Hermann carried out domestic transports throughout Italy with a single truck. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the company steadily increasing in size. It soon began to carry international loads too.

In 1992, the company changed into the Thurner Hermann OHG, at the same time, the founder took a step back from managing the company and handed the reins over to his sons, Othmar and Günther Thurner.

In 2001, a new cargo-handling center was opened in Vilpian. In addition to loading ramps and a large warehouse, the company also built its own workshop and a truck wash.

In 2006 the company took over another transport firm from Laas in the Vinschgau Valley. Following this takeover, the company headquarters moved to Laas. Alongside various offices, the new headquarters also had an additional workshop, a large lorry park and, like in Vilpian, a transhipment and interim storage area.

In 2011 the founder officially retired. Since then the two brothers, Othmar and Günther, have shared the leadership of the company. In the same year the company name was changed to the current “Thurner GmbH”.

Our drivers represent the company to the outside world and their competence and enthusiasm make a big contribution to our success. We have remained true to this approach to the present day, which means that we can claim with pride to only have reliable and experienced drivers in our team, who are able to carry out every one of our customers’ orders in full.

A male or female truck driver with a CE Code 95 driving license, experience and motivation for international long-haul transport, to start immediately. Resident in South Tyrol, along the transit routes in Tyrol - Austria or Bavaria - Germany.
